LARC - Laboratório de Arquitetura e Redes de Computadores

ProtoGENI

The Emulab/ProtoGENI @LARC-USP is a network emulation testbed assembled by LARC-USP (Laboratory of Comp uter Architectures and Networks - University of São Paulo, Brazil). It allows researchers to develop and test new network technologies, including research on Future Internet architectures. It is currently one of the testbeds that compose the FIBRE Project in Brazil.

The Emulab testbed @LARC-USP was created in 2006 in the FAPESP-sponsored Kyatera project, based on the Emulab control framework created at the University of Utah, to support innovative research on computer networks. In 2011 it was included in the FIBRE project and, as part of the project's acitivities, it was upgraded in 2012 to support integration with other Future Internet testbeds, becoming one of the federated testbeds from the ProtoGENI testbed in USA (when it was renamed Emulab/ProtoGENI @LARC-USP testbed).
